The Escape

Original poems written for The Escape, a Showtime film starring Patrick Dempsey.

In the 1997 drama, Dempsey plays Clayton, who’s convicted at age 19 for a crime he didn’t commit. He spends ten years in prison learning to write poetry, but after enduring too many abuses, he makes the decision to escape, regardless of the consequences.
